You may believe in the Devil, but do you know who he really is?
It’s often said that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn’t exist. But was it? I reckon he did something a lot more subtle and pernicious…
Watch the news. Read a paper. Heck, read the Bible. The Q’ran. The Talmud. Look at all the things God (supposedly) did, and does. Smiting the disobedient, wiping out whole cities and peoples, flooding the World, torturing innocents just to see if they love him enough. Killing babies. Roasting people in Hell for all eternity. Sending tsunamis, floods and earthquakes that wipe out thousands of innocent people, just to punish a few guys for having anal sex. As it’s often been pointed out, these are not the actions of a sane human being, let alone a loving, well-adjusted deity.
A huge proportion of the things God does are demonstrably evil. And yet he keeps telling us he loves us. These are the actions of an abuser, not a loving parent – and certainly not a loving god.
Based on what we know, isn’t it more likely that the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he was God?

Through the ages many prophets who proclaims themselves christian, started giving prophecies which they called [New Revelation of Jesus Christ]. These prophets claim themselves to have heard things that is not subject to testing by Scripture in the bible,(this is the top of the pyramid) but are claimed to be above testing because it is received from Jesus Christ directly. Such New Revelation always results in a cult which could become very dangerous. An individual is now in a sense lifted to the status of mediator to God, as he or she receives direct communication from God like the rest of the group can’t and nothing said by this prophet may be challenged against the bible or any other measure because it is said to come from God directly and therefore has the highest authority.
Many evangelical churches make room for prophecy, but it is generally accepted that all prophecy should be tested against scripture to determine if the source was truly God, as scripture warns about false Christs that would rise up to deceive many.2 Tim. 3:16 and 1 Thess. 5:19-22
The conclusion is simple. Its a scheme. millions upon millions upon millions have died in the name of gods. The weak have never been helped by any god. On this planet religion is just another scheme. Men and women of gods are no more then some of the best salespersons that we employ.

Kendo, the fact that you say only a fraction of these “pyramid members” will recieve salvation because we are born into sin shows that you do not understand the principle of salvation in the first place. We are ALL born into sin, NO ONE is good enough to get into heaven, no matter how good a person they think they are. This is why every human being needs to realise the gift that Jesus Christ has given to them. He lived a sinless life, then stepped in for humanity, took the punishment that was meant for us, took the sin of humanity upon his shoulders and gave up his life for each of us so that the slate is now wiped clean, we are no longer separated from God. EVERY PERSON will live for eternity, it is a matter of where you want to spend it, heaven or hell? This is a FREE gift from God. A hand out to a drowning man. All we have to do is accept it from him. It may seem to good to be true, or too easy but that is really it. It is as simple, and as incredible as that.

It starts with the premise that god created heaven and human beings but through the actions of two people, Adam and Eve, no one was ever going to be allowed to actually go to heaven. In order to fix this, the all powerful god had to create a loophole. So he made a son who had to live a sinless life and die from execution for blasphemy and now all the people had to do to get into heaven was believe in his son.
That’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Let’s not even get into the whole Adam and Eve silliness, there’s no chance that all human life on this planet originated with one person who had a female sculpted from his rib bone. It’s a myth created by an ancient civilization to explain ideas they couldn’t comprehend.

Do you think maybe Hitler’s enjoying eternal bliss in heaven right now, because unknown to anyone else, he repented of his sins and invited Jesus into his heart at the last minute? Yeah, right.
Do you know what the true meaning for repentance is? Repentance means to regret you ever did those sins and to ask for forgiveness. That doesn’t mean its ok to do it again nor does it mean we don’t get punished for those sins. But it means he still wants you to go to heaven and be with him and he forgives you, when you repent you have a CHANGE OF HEART, that is TRUE REPENTANCE. Because if you just believed in him to be saved then the devil would still be in heaven because he believes in Christ as well but he rebells against him. You accept Jesus Christ as savior but you also accept him as LORD which means master, which also means you belong to him. He is your spiritual father. Its like your biological father. You have to be obedient to your parents because they know whats best for you (if you live with normal parents) God always knows whats best for you and he’s trying to show us the right way to life but when we try to follow our own way you always fall because of our free will to think but we can’t do anything without God. Its like trying to build a house without the blueprints. You try to do it without anyone to help you you’ll never get that house built without any instruction or any obedience. God wants you to succeed in life, he wants you to fulfill your purpose in life. If your an atheist, then why are you here?

The GREATEST “trick” the “Devil” ever did, was to convince our “fore-parents”, [ [ie] Adam & Eve, especially Eve,] that he was “like a god” and that if she and Adam actually ate the fruit that God said NOT TO EAT, that THEY would become like God – knowing right and wrong/good & bad. BUT – when they DID eat the fruit of the tree that God told them NOT to touch – they actually SINNED against God, by disobeying his command “NOT TO EAT OF THE FRUIT OF THE TREE OF GOOD & BAD” and thus spreading sin & death to ALL mankind -even down to this very day! Gods’ command was a “test” of their obedisnce, and – THEY FAILED MISERABLY!

We get that feeling from the values instilled in us by our parents and by society. Sometimes those values are religiously-inspired, sometimes not. That doesn’t mean religion is true, just that some people get the same values from their religious instruction that the rest of us arrive at through common sense and reason. Those values pre-date religion. If they didn’t, religion would never have got the chance to arise, because we’d have slaughtered each other long before it got that chance.

some of what you say are false while other are overly exgerated: you say God created tsunamies to punish a few people that were bad , making other suffer. Let’s analize this a bit: Before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other two city’s with them not mentioned by name Abraham askes God to spare the city’s (each a few tens of thousands of people at least), and says if there will be found some good people in them they will be sparred . God accepts to spare the cities if only 10 such men could be found, but Abraham fails to find even such a small number of people. The part with homosexuality is specified mostly in the current translation. In the Talmud there are more sins attributed to those people

Torturing innocents, another exageration. He did not torture them, just permited for them to be “tortured”, but never to as much as they could not stand it.
You say that good and evil are innerent taughed behaviour, but how do you explain that any human no matter of religion, race or culture has the same basic structure of good and evil? how do you explain it was genetically proven that all humans today come from one single couple despite evolution theories?
Another thing for you to ponder upon:
if you know a man will kill a familly in a month from now , and you have to decision to save him or let him die although he is innocent of such deeds at this moments what would you do?
My point is that we don’t know the long term conscequencies of one or another event, so we cannot actually judge God as you so boldly do!

Why do I believe there is a God and that christianity is right? simple: no other moral law or culture or religion in the entire history of humanity, or logic reason has managed to say something like “love your enemy, do good to the ones that hurt you”. If there were be no real God such a religion would have had 0 chances or survival.
About the disasters that are in this age it is said that close to the end of days , the faith would be very little in all men and they would suffer greatly and they will raise their fists and voices to the skies. But God will not do anything drastic untill all the ones that still have faith will no longer be in the middle of this world.(mostly because they will be killed by the others)
God says: “I had put before you fire and water (good and evil) , taught you about them and let you choose whatever you will want”. Can a parent do more for a child than teach him what is good and bad? Is he truly responsible if the child chooses the fire despite everything and gets burned?
But God does a little more than that for the being he has created:”God has punished me with an iron staff but he did not gave me to Death” . Does not a parent punish a child when he misbehaves to show him consequences for his actions , before more severe would happen by the childs own doing?
Christ said that more joy is made in heaven for one sinner that repents that for 1000 that have not sinned.
And Saint Paul teaches us what real love means , and I will quote it because you seem not to understand it:
“Love is patient, is not proud , does not want selfish things, does not rejoice of injustices (not even over someone who does you harm), does remember the harm that has been done, is always hopefull, rejoices when justice is done, rejoices when truth is found, against such as these there is no law”
that is what God asks of us. Can you really say you never have been glad someone that has done you harm suffered? or that deep in your heart you never wanted someone else to be hurt?
If you deny this you are a liar and if you accept this you are murderer because it is said that the one that hates his brother is guilty of murder against him. So who do you call innocent?
There are Saints that prayed for this that killed them while they were killed , so that God forgave this sin of theirs. Can you do that?
And abou you saying God and Satan are the same because they both require worship and sacrifice, there are two small differences:
1. Satan never keeps his promises to the end . It usually tricks a person into doing it’s will, and usually twists the result of the desires of people.
2. Faith of one man in God can move mountains , heal the sick and render poisons and venoms harmless . Can anything else in the world do that?
Another thing: the rosting in hell is actually a metaphor:
a person in hell sees heaven and knows he will never be able to attain it. so he suffers because of it (this is the fire in hell and the restless eating worms).
More than that he realizes his bad actions and regrets he did not repent. For some the connection to earthly things like food, drink, sex, whatever is so strong that inability to do this things is a tourment. A person in hell does not need to eat but the mind craves for food.
the coldness of hell and the darkness is again the result of the absence of God’s presence.
The screams are made by the people there.
So you cannot blame God for hell.
About the part with killing babies as far as I know the only paragraph that states that is the one reffering to the plagues of Egypt.
More than that it is said that ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste’
as to reffer that the deeds of parents fall upon the children.
In another place it is stated more explicitly: And the sins of the father will fall upon the son.
or
And a great sin might result is penitence upto 10 generations od bloodline lineage , while a righteous act might result in benefits for a thousounds genretions.
That is one of the reasons we pray for the dead.
anyway the base line is that all Christian religion is base on one single event : the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Although we do not have other than personal testemonies to prove that, we have the certainty that Christ died, the fact being stated by official roma documents!
I didn’t say “God and Satan are the same because they both require worship and sacrifice”, I said that given what we know about the world and what happens in it, it makes more sense to believe that the person we think is God is actually the Devil, who has fooled us into thinking he is God.

unfortunately since god is all knowing and all seeing he knows you will never change your mind and thus will be sentenced to hell, because he already knows your decisions beforehand, and being the loving god would condem something he knew would happen. Actually, it is you that is hard work. The Lord does as He wishes to do, and man is put to his own hardships because of his disobedience. We were made to be forever and in communion with The Lord our God. You say that God doesn’t exist? I don’t need to prove that he does, but can you prove that he does not? The Word states “Lean not on your own understanding, but every word which comes out of the mouth of God.” Man’s logic, though strong and gifted by The Creator, is not infallible, for Man cannot even unravel the complete science of their own bodies and minds, yet The One who made us in His Image, has designed this system and reveals to us what is His will. Most of what happens in the World of Today is by Man’s hand, and so The Lord has indicated for his Church to be ever viligant for his return, but to also carry out his mission of love, charity, humility, chastity, peace and selflessness.
Of the many men and women claiming there is no God, not one can explain the sudden recovery of those who are gravely ill. How one exposed to disease and decay remain healthy when it ought not be so? Where men and women are exposed to mental images so horrifying from war, yet still keep their minds; I tell you, it is the Hand of God that does these things through His Servants in the World.
The Truth is, the Greatest Trick Satan ever performed is convince the world he didn’t exist. If people didn’t believe of His Existence, they would come to rebellion by trusting in themselves instead of The Lord Almighty. They would never come to realize the gravity of what they are doing, because they rationalize that their can be no God if There is no Satan. There is no light without shadow and their can be no reason to trust God if there is no evil to harm them. And in this, they have already fallen because their pride will lead them to perdition. That or they reject the Good News because the world is much in love with itself and its nature. Dr. LaVey stated that Man is the highest being that is. In denying the existence of God and Satan (for that is what he truly did), and setting himself and all like him as gods, the men and women who denied God, denied the existence of His adversary have fallen to Pride.
The Lord calls all out of Darkness and into His Marvelous Light. He didn’t come to call the righteous, but the sinner. Hell is the absence of God, and to those who doubt it is real, ask the very accuser who wages against Him eternally because of Pride, and who will, at the End of Time, shall see the justice of The Lord. All that follow with him shall meet the same. I encourage you to listen and seek the Kingdom of God before it is too late.
Well I’m a girl who is atheist (for anyone who wanted to know it…) Seriously i can’t describe how much I actually liked the text it’s so… true! Many christian people always judge the black one how do you know that god didn’t create them? Is there even a singel proof that god was a man? And is there proof that god even exist…? People in this world has a lot of prejudices and the worst of all greed. That’s the things that make our word so unstable we have to much faith in something that we even don’t know really exist. Why do you belive in god and not the whole theory about big bang? Because the odds is the same we don’t know how big bang was created and the heck we know how god was made, created or born. Without knowing it we all have fallen in a big fat trap in life, everything is somehow just a game…
You do realize that you used a quote from the movie “The Usual Suspects” and not any religious text whatsoever, right? Just want to make sure you’re aware of that.
Secondly, it’s your free will that God gave to you to choose whether or not to believe in Him. Without that free will to choose what to believe in, being saved by faith in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior who died on the cross for all sinners that will just accept Him fully into their hearts would be rendered absolutely pointless. After all, if we weren’t given free will, we’d all have no choice to believe. The very existence of Jesus in the flesh would have been pointless.
Instead, there were over 40 prophecies alone that were fulfilled by the birth of Jesus and countless more from his entire lifespan and works… All from scripture that was written anywhere from 10′s to 1000s. Of years before he came to this world.
You say that God did and does all these terrible things but I challenge you to read the Bible more in depth. Sure anybody can read bits and pieces and take anything out of context. Even Jesus said to pluck out your own if you really want to take things out of context. What he really was saying was that if the problem in your life is something precious to you, isn’t life even more precious? If your eye is cancerous and the only way to rid yourself of the cancer was to have it surgically removed, wouldn’t you do that and save your life? Likewise, if there is salvation (the promise of everlasting life after our bodies in this world inevitably give out) for simply doing the right thing, being obedient to God and accepting Him into your heart, wouldn’t you rather give up the vices that are causing you to sin in oreder to live forever in His Kingdom that is infinitely greater than this world than face certain death (spiritual) for continuing the way that you are?
Furthermore, God never claims that this world is a great world. In fact, He knows it is a terrible place. In fact, He tells us not to love the things of this world because He has greater things awaiting you if you choose to accept.
Please read the Bible… altogether and in context the way it was intended and I guaratee things will make much more sense. You’ll realize God certainly isn’t the perpetrator of evil that you claim Him to be.

Cmon guys, it’s really all quite simple.
If you have a resonably open mind, read on. If you prefer to wallow in and continue to justify your “valuable” personal opinion, then stop reading now.
There is only one valid religious organisation in existence, and it is the Catholic Church. Tall claim? It is the one religious institution based on the only valid authority to have existed on earth – Jesus of Nazareth himself. No other religious “prophet” claimed to actually be the Son of God, and we know from historical documentation that he wasn’t an insane mad-man…so if the man was as reputable and respected as He apparently was, why would He say that if it wasn’t true?
Protestant Christian Churches represent dis-unity, which is the opposite of harmony – that which we know from reason is a source of pleasure and happiness. So they, by their very existence by rebelling from the central authority of the Papacy, are unable to ratify the truth, being subject to debate, argument and conflicting opinion on how to interpret the Bible. And we see the fruits of such conjecture with fundamentalist Christian sects believing their own limited interpretions, and contributing to propogation of confusion in the process.
Truth does not require debate and is not subject to opinion, it simply is. This clarity is found in the Catholic teachings though. Don’t believe it? DO SOME RESEARCH!
Non-christian religious teachings are mingled with truths to give them credibility, but are really the inspiration of the fallen angels to create confusion and dis-trust in religious behavior. Yet there is still some part of us that longs for answers, for a valid authority which we can turn to for these answers, and trust that those answers are right and true. No wonder there’s so much confusion out there!
Stands to reason then that cunning evil knows this too and has set about to convince everyone that faith and obedience is EVIL and oppressive..therefore, in particular the Pope is an instrument of control over us and must be shunned. Or so evil would have us think. In fact the opposite is true. Obedience to the True Catholic Faith is the only way to truly happy. Tried and tested for a couple of thousand years now. Take it or leave it.
At the end of the day, God’s spirit of truth is in us all, even the evil ones know truth, despising it as they do for exposing their lies and deceptions.

I would have to disagree with the Catholic Church being the ONLY tried and true.. I don’t think ANY religion has gotten it right.. The bible says that anywhere God/Jesus are spoken of in love and worship is considered a church. Too many religions focus on just that the religion not the CHURCH or Praise of God.
He doesn’t have to convince the world, presay. But make man believe that there could be no good without evil. The reason man is giving into this idea is because it gives them free reign to do evil deeds then say Im only human. Which is why God has to save man from himself. The reason why I know God exist is because of nature. All through the bible He is describing Himself where man could understand…nature. Christ used parables often so one could understand.

The Devil is just your ego. “The greatest trick the ego ever pulled is convincing the world it does not exist.” What is ego? The little voice we all have that wants to be better/smarter/more correct than others. The cause of all conflict. If you think you don’t have this, or that it can’t be the cause of suffering, you have been tricked by the statement above.
Actually, the natural disasters and dying and such is the downfall of man, which started once Eve took the first bite of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Each human is responsible for his/her own salvation. God does not cause storms or death or pain, but the disobedience of Adam and Eve caused it all. If they had obeyed Him, thes things would not exist.

You as the author I will pray for because it is in your own words truely obvious that you are lost. I will pray that you will be saved from your own dimise when your time comes. This first part is for Sarah. I hardly find your strong opinion regarding Catholicism as “open-minded” as I felt force fed the doctrine in your post. I grew up in the Catholic church, and although I’m still Christian, I have been re-baptized as non-denominational. Simply put, I merely follow the teachings of Christ and not any man-made religion including Catholicism. For starters, if one truly reads the scripture you will notice that we should not worship graven idols. In every Catholic church I see statues of saints and the Virgin Mary plus pagan symbols everywhere if you know what to look for. The saints and the Virgin are not the Messiah so why would Christians pray to these people. I recognize the significance of these figures and I used to pray to St. Jude, Virgin Mary, etc. also so I’m not without fault. Besides, isn’t that a pagan belief wrapped in false teachings of a religion? I’m not even sure we should pray to images of Jesus for that fact. The Israelites worshipped a golden calf when Moses was on Sinai reverting back to the religious customs of their slave masters in Egypt. It’s really no different. Not to mention all the corruption, sexual abuse, and general non-acceptance of others in there sprinkled throughout the history of the Catholic faith. Wasn’t the Vatican responsible for the crusades, Spanish Inquisition, and other multitudes of bloodshed over the millenia when Christ told us to love our enemies and by doing so pouring heaps of coal on their heads? Also, only God has the power to forgive sins and since He’s all-knowing, all-present, and all-powerful why would I need to confess my sins to a priest(human)? All I have to do is ask for forgiveness from God in my heart and truly change my ways. Jesus also taught us to pray in private and not to utter loud and lofty statements such as the Pharisees do. This reminds me of most big-time preachers who are suspect in my personal opinion. Do 15 hail marys, 10 Our Fathers, etc. is not at all what Jesus wants or needs us to do to repent. Plus, it’s incredibly inefficient and a ridiculous waste of time. God has better use of your time, energy, and resources. Speaking of resources… how about we open up the Vatican vault so we can feed, clothe, educate, and house the rest of humanity. Seems like hoarding to me. Also, what are they hiding in the library there? Probably the missing true history of humankind and lost scriptures Constantine wanted thrown out of the Bible. Thank God for us His word lives forever. My guess is that the papacy is also tied in to the N.W.O. as well. I could go on and on, but that’s not the thread of this forum. I encourage you to research on your own and come to your own conclusions.
Regarding the original theme, God is real and even Satan believes in Him and His son Jesus Christ. He just doesn’t worship The Lord and wants others to do the same by leading them astray to worship him. Ultimately, the trick is on those who are deceived. The warnings have been loud and clear. Just take a look around you. The world is going to hell in a hand basket with “wars and rumours of wars”, the 911 hoax, natural disasters increasing, famines, droughts, plagues, pandemics, economies and governments collapsing, the following of false prophets and teachings (New Age), signs in the heavens(UFO sightings and solar/cosmic phenomena), global warming (which is hoax, the whole solar system is heating up and not just Earth) , exponential increases in technology, Jerusalem being re-established, chip implants(DO NOT GET THESE!!!), and on and on. It’s time to get real folks. All these things were prophesied in Daniel, Isaiah, and the Book of Revelations and others. Which is exactly what apocolypse means in Greek… revelation or unveiling. Christ revealing himself as King. It’s better to believe in salvation and not need it than it is otherwise. Furthermore, with each passing day science has been getting closer and closer to scripture. Physics, Archaeology, Biology, Mathematics, and other disciplines just keep proving the Bible is infallable as new evidence comes to light (when it’s not being suppressed of course). It’s funny, science needs itself to prove God yet God doesn’t need Himself to prove science. He already has by creating the universe you live in which none of us truly has the mind to fully comprehend.
In sum, I encourage everyone one of you to seek the truth and your own answers. For Christ said the truth shall set you free. I have done my research and I’m convinced. I recommend starting with the Bible and coming to your own conclusions. I have a strange feeling many of those arguing against God or even for Him for that matter have never really read all the books in the Bible. Ask questions, challenge, research, explore and never just assume what some religious, political, media, academic or any other figure tells you is true. My hope is you’ll accept Christ if you haven’t already, but if not, you have been fairly warned of the consequences.

As a believer in Jesus, I would have to strongly disagree about the ‘superiority’ of the Catholic Church. There are so many customs part of that church that have little if nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus himself, and sadly that is probably likely of many, if not all churches in general. That’s but one of the few reasons I personally choose not to attend church, as I strongly believe in a personal relationship with God. I agree with the previous post as to everyone coming their own conclusions. But matters regarding spirituality are always going to be complex as we all experience things in different ways depending on our spiritual status and receptiveness. But to claim any branch as superior to another is just pointless and rather ignorant. God is too great to be so plainly defined; at the same time, you know that when you have Him around you, it’s unlike any thing else and cannot be compared to any worldly pleasure we may have here on earth.
Some people are satisfied with certain things, others just want more. But no one is beyond redemption if they want it. +
Anyone who seriously believes in God is either stupid or so helpless that they let themselves be comforted by fictional stories. Why believe the bible is real? There’s no reason to. It’s exactly the same as all those Native American tales to demonstrate right from wrong. It uses created figures to prove an overall point. Yet, for some reason, people lost sight of the fact that just like those other stories, it is FICTION. Because of that, the world would be a better place if religion didn’t exist, because the only things that comes from truly religious people are war, anger, hatred, and the inability to consider the world from other viewpoints. Religious people are the worst people I have ever met, and I wish that there was a way to avoid them completely or cure them of the way they’ve been brainwashed. Religion is the same as any cult; it’s just, sadly, more socially acceptable.
